Decker Design creates promotion material for the premiere of “Give me a Shot of Anything: House Calls to the Homeless” at the Boston Film Festival
September 16, 2011New Work Now! Reading Series
September 14, 2011The sheer proliferation of events on offer at many theater festivals could understandably present an overwhelming prospect to tentatively curious, but uninitiated, would-be audience members. With the following tagline, this year’s New York International Fringe Festival made a virtue of its whirlwind nature: “194 shows. 17 days. still no mercy.” The Public Theater “New Work Now!” reading series, however, promises a much more focused experience. The company has chosen works by some of today’s most exciting emerging and established playwrights. Thrillingly, the festival has already offered its spectators the opportunity to see both a giddy comedy of modern manners (The Ver**zon Play, by Lisa Kron) and a panoramic exploration of post-9/11 life in New York (Zero, by Julian Sheppard). From now through September 18, please dive into the exceedingly well-curated “New Work Now!” reading series with abandon.
