John Madere: Portraits of Design

by Decker Design on Jul 16, 2010

Mohawk Fine Papers released the 24-page large format booklet, “John Madere: Portraits of Design,” a collection of stunning photographs highlighting eleven of America’s most influential graphic designers: Milton Glaser, Stefan Sagmeister, Paula Scher, Stephen Doyle, Michael Bierut, Massimo and Lella Vignelli, Chip Kidd, April Greiman, Seymour Chwast and Ellen Lupton.

The perfect bound piece is printed on Mohawk Kromekote, known for reproducing on press what the camera sees, and true to form, it shows every detail of these very personal studies. John Madere is a New York City based photographer whose trademark is his ability to capture people in compelling human moments that reveal their spirit and passions.

The idea for the booklet was conceived after Decker Design saw Madere’s images of Stefan Sagmeister and Paula Scher. The design process was highly collaborative between the photographer and the team at Decker. Discussions ensued about the work and legacy of each of the subjects and how the images related to their personal histories.

The publication design is subtle; it follows a disciplined grid and varied pacing intended to pair with the striking portrait compositions. Great consideration was given to showcasing Kromekote’s printing capabilities, resulting in enhanced, lustrous photography throughout. On Michael Beirut’s photograph, for example, a combination of gloss and dull varnishes was used, with gloss appearing on the windows only, effectively adding depth to the scene.

Emulating the tone of a fine art book, the team at Decker encouraged Madere to write about his experiences on the shoots for inclusion in the back of the publication. The result: A publication just as at home on a coffee table, atop a stack of expensive fine art photography books or as an esteemed piece of inspiration in the library of any artist or designer.

I need your advise before I claim this to Insurance company about a incident that happened on few days ago.

Around 1.30 PM, I stopped my car outside of my apartment with emergency lights on. I put on the emergency lights on since I stopped the car on red curb. In fact, I was waiting outside to pick my family who were coming from inside the apartment.

Then a Car came from behind and entered into the apartment and while entering it hit my car bumper causing some scratches on my bumper. The guy didn’t stop the car and I followed that car and told him that you hit my car..

Just like medicine itself and everything else, record keeping of payment for medical treatment has advanced tremendously. The frontier doctor paid in chickens or grain has gone the way of the general store, and the billing for physicians and treatment has gotten as confusing as most tax codes. Bringing in a third-party billing company just adds another line for communication to break down.medical insurance reviews
